We are extending Inksie’s launch giveaway for one more week. Entries will be accepted up until Monday, August 9th, when the Inksie shop will launch.

We have received a lot of entries for the drawing. We want even more people to have a chance to hear about Inksie and win something neat. In addition, we’re including a new Inksie mystery t-shirt to the prize package.

As before, the ways to enter the contest are:

  • Follow Inksie on Twitter
  • Become friends with Inksie on Facebook
  • Subscribe to Inksie’s newsletter
  • Leave a comment mentioning your favorite Journal article

Danish architecture and landscape photographer Kim Høltermand’s stark, striking images have appeared in numerous publications, including Process Journal and Grafik. He was included in Netdiver’s Best of the Year 2008 and was awarded first place in the 2009 International Photography Award’s Professional Architecture: Buildings division for his photographs. The Journal recently interviewed Mr Høltermand on his techniques and inspirations.

I understand this was shot for a production company you are both involved with named Thunderball Productions. Who else is involved with this company and what inspired its creation?
I would describe Thunderball as more of a collective. It is basically the group banner that my friend Cameron Beyl and I have been creating film work under since 1997. I think we hold onto it today to feel unified despite working on opposite ends of the country now, and to continue the idea of building this thing that we’ve had literally since childhood. Now, our growing network of artistic collaborators loosely make up what we see as Thunderball Productions.
Why did you decide to shoot a film for Jennie Wayne and why did you select the song My Own Home?
I’ve moved around a lot, and I’m very sentimental when it comes to cities I’ve lived in and places I once called home. I felt like I really understood the sentiment of Jennie’s song. And in film, I’m possessed by environment. So, My Own Home seemed perfect.

If you’ve not seen the launch page and counter, then beware: Inksie is launching its official online shop on August 9th. We’re hosting a giveaway in celebration of this momentous occasion.

About the Design

The ampersand tee and print was created by Colorcubic, a multidisciplinary design studio in Portland, Oregon. Inspired by typography, it incorporates Inksie’s four icons in the shape of Herb Lubalin’s famed ampersand.
