<a href='http://inksie.com/members/michael/' rel="nofollow">@michael</a> That would be fantastic. The film sounds so fascinating, can't wait to check it out.

@bccreative That's a really creative idea. I would love to see it come to fruition. It could make for a revolution in the print industry. If only there would be a company to start producing letterpresses again…

Funny that you mention a "league" as I ran across this website a couple of weeks ago (http://www.theleagueofmoveabletype.com/). Great resource for some free typefaces.

I wonder who might help sponsor a letterpress "road show" traveling town to tow, that could be outfitted in a trailer and literally open up for workshops. Once people [including all print designers] touch the materials and maybe make a poster or invitations, demand will slowly increase. not sure if there's a letterpress "league" but there should be. As the print market contracts, specific 'types' of print will gain popularity for their ability to distinguish themselves from lowest-bid digital (not picking on digital!!).

I'll have to find that documentary on letterpress I was telling you about. It's really amazing, and makes you really appreciate the tactile art of letterpress. Definitely not an art that you can learn overnight, or through some tutorial. You need hands on experience, necessary trial and error, and a lot of patience.
