Our Manifesto
From inksie.
We don’t do "polished." We do real. We believe the world is cluttered enough, so we’re here to strip away the noise until only the soul remains. This is how we think, how we build, and how we show up.
1. The Cult of Simplicity
- If it can be simpler, make it simpler. Complexity is often just a mask for uncertainty. We peel back the layers until there’s only the minimum.
- Simplicity is a problem to solve. It isn’t the starting point; it’s the finish line. It takes work to be this brief.
- K.I.S.S. (Keep It Super Simple). Strip it back. Then strip it back again. If it doesn’t add value, it’s just weight.
- Simple is the solution for the complex. The most elegant answers to the hardest questions are rarely complicated.
2. The Beauty of the Raw
- Imperfection is better than perfection. Perfection is sterile; imperfection has a pulse. We embrace the grit, the grain, and the human touch.
- Don’t be a commodity. If you can be replaced by a line of code or a cheaper version of yourself, you’ve lost. Be distinct. Be weird. Be Inksie.
- Everyone wears a t-shirt. No egos. No ivory towers. We’re all in the trenches, hands dirty, working on the same level.
3. The Bravery of the Doer
- The Doorstep Mile. In Norway, they say the longest mile is the one out the front door. The hardest part of any journey is the first step. Take it. Then reflect.
- Hard is good. We don’t run from the uphill climb. Ease leads to stagnation; friction leads to growth. Solving problems is rewarding.
- Don’t be afraid of things you haven't done yet. Experience is just a record of the past. Innovation belongs to the person willing to be a beginner.
